On the afternoon of August 31, Academician Wang Fuming, honorary chairman of Henan Civil Architecture Society, visited the society to guide the work, Chairman Wang Zhaodong, Vice chairman and Secretary General Wang Aiju, deputy Secretary general Zhao Kun, Zhang Miao and other people participated in the symposium。

At the meeting, Academician Wang Fuming actively communicated with Chairman Wang Zhaodong and Vice Chairman Wang Aiju, expressing their opinions, and had a warm discussion on the future development direction of the society。They proposed that the society should build a network platform, combine theory with practice, and explore a new model of integrated development of industry, university and research。Academician Wang asked the Society to broaden its horizons, focus on the development of high-end academic exchange activities, science popularization activities, personnel training and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and explore new models for the development of the society, so that the society can be influential, sentimental and responsible。

Personal introduction of Academician Wang Fuming：

 Born in Shenqiu, Henan Province in 1957, civil engineering expert, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor of Sun Yat-sen University, professor of Zhengzhou University, doctoral supervisor 。

Graduated from Zhengzhou Institute of Technology in 1982.

He received his Ph.D. in engineering from Dalian Institute of Technology in 1987, and then taught at Zhengzhou Institute of Technology.

1991-1993 in Texas, USA&Postdoctoral research in M University;

In 1993, he taught at the College of Water Conservancy and Environment, Zhengzhou University.

From 2001 to 2012, he served as the Dean of the College of Water Conservancy and Environment, Zhengzhou University.

Elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2015;

In 2016, he was appointed as an additional member of the 11th Henan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC 。

Wang Fuming has been engaged in theoretical and technical research on the safety maintenance of basic engineering facilities for a long time, and has made systematic innovation achievements in the prevention and treatment of water leakage and hidden diseases in basic engineering。
